NCVSCPA Membership Options
during the current program year (May 2023 - April 2024):
Regular Membership: Current Rate: $40 for remaining program year!
A regular membership costs $200 for the program year (May-April), with a $20 discount if paid by May 31st. Each year the Board of Directors set the membership price based on expected program expenses.
Our chapter events primarily take place in Falls Church or Tysons and occur eight times a year, offering 1-4 CPE credits per meeting. Approximately 15 CPE credits from chapter events are available for the program year.
Participate in one or more special interest groups (SIG) to unlock additional value. These events typically take a more detailed view of topics most concerning the group members or center on topics that may more narrowly apply to a segment of our membership. Access to SIG group meetings is included in your membership and make approximately 30 additional CPE credits available.
Attend both SIG and Chapter-wide meetings to earn all 40 annual credits locally.
Note - members must also be current members in a State CPA Society
Corporate Memberships:
Corporate membership allows for convenient, centralized payment for the individuals of an organization.
A corporation names a key person to serve as a point of contact for the organization and can register for 5 or more individuals from that organization at a discounted rate.
Each individual will receive all the benefits of regular membership.
Each individual will be able to access their account separately to maintain their information and register for events.
The key person may also register corporate members for meetings and events.
Student Membership:
Non-member Options:
Individuals who do not wish to become a member are welcome to attend our meetings under the Chapter’s Visitor policy. The cost for a non-member to attend a chapter meeting is typically $25 per CPE credit offered. Members may bring one or more guests by paying the visitor fee.
Non-members are also invited to join our email list to be notified of event offerings.
Please note the Northern Chapter of the Virginia Society of CPAs (NCVSCPA) is a separate entity from the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA). All events, meetings, and finances are separate, though there is occasional collaboration.
The NCVSCPA is a nonprofit and almost entirely volunteer-run. Membership dues go directly toward meeting space rentals, food, and overhead costs such as insurance.
